Revelation 2:3
(Revelation 2:3).
Yet I have this against you- that you have left your first love
(Revelation 2:4).
Remember, therefore, of the height from which you have fallen. Repent at once, and do the first
works, or else I will surely come and remove your lampstand out of its place- unless you repent
(Revelation 2:5).
...and you have perseverance and have endured (trials) for My name`s sake, and have not
grown (spiritually) weary.

God gives enough grace for each trial we face
The Lord knows and praises them for their perseverance or patience. It appears this revelation
was also previously revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Two
(Revelation 2:2). Please journey there for Gods's message or
The perseverance of God's Overcomers in the first century churches is commendable. Perseverance
in the face of adversity yields Christian maturity. Here are examples of some perseverance as
revealed in the scrolls of Revelation:
This is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Two-
...and you have perseverance and have endured for My name`s sake
(Revelation 2:3).
...you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My
faithful martyr, who was killed among you...
(Revelation 2:13).
...you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name (Revelation 3:8).
Moses faced a trial for the Lord but God prevailed-
So Moses cried out to the Lord, saying- what shall I do with this people? They are
almost ready to stone me
(Exodus 17:4).
Let it be known to the king that we went into the province of Judea, to the temple of
the great God, that is being built with heavy stones, and timber is being laid in the
walls- and this work goes on diligently and prospers in their hands
(Ezra 5:8).
Then I said to them- you see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste,
and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may
no longer be a reproach
(Nehemiah 2:17).
Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money that has been brought into the
house of the Lord, that the doorkeepers have gathered from the people. And let them deliver it
into the hand of those doing the work, who are the overseers in the house of the Lord- let them
give it to those who are in the house of the Lord doing the work, to repair the damages of the
house to carpenters and builders and masons- and to buy timber and hewn stone to repair the house
(2 Kings 22:4-6).
To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and
homeless. And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless- being persecuted,
we endure- being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the
offscouring of all things until now
(1 Corinthians 4:11-13).

God encourages His Overcomers to continue to persevere and for deciding not to give up.
This appears to be revealed in several scrolls of Revelation:
It is revealed in Revelation Scroll Number Two-
...and you have perseverance and have endured for My name`s sake, and have not grown weary
(Revelation 2:3).
...but hold fast what you have till I come
(Revelation 2:25).
Behold, I AM coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown
(Revelation 3:11).
Moses was faced with adversity but God helped him and he did not give up-
And Korah gathered all the congregation against them (Numbers 16:19)...so they got away from
around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram- and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the
door of their tents (Numbers 16:27)...and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up,
with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods
(Numbers 16:32).
And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the (false) prophets
with the sword. Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying- so let the gods do to me, and
more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.
And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, that belongs to
Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and
came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said- it is enough!
Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers! (I Kings 19:1-4)...then as he lay
and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him- arise and eat
(1 Kings 19:5).
But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the Lord, and
said- Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled
previously to Tarshish- for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and
abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. Therefore now, O Lord, please take
my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live (Jonah 4:1-3)...and the Lord God
prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be shade for his head to deliver
him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant
(Jonah 4:6).
