These three scriptures are found in Isaiah-
Who has done such mighty deeds, directing the affairs of the human race as each
new generation marches by? It is I, the Lord, the First and the Last. I alone AM He
(Isaiah 41:4).
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and His Redeemer, the Lord of Armies- I AM the First
and I AM the Last- besides Me there is no God
(Isaiah 44:6).
Listen to Me, O Jacob, And Israel, My called- I AM He, I AM the First, I AM also the Last
(Isaiah 48:12).
(Revelation 1:8).
...saying- I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. And, what you see,
write in a book and send it to the seven churches that are in Asia- to Ephesus, to Smyrna,
to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea
(Revelation 1:11).
And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me,
saying to me- do not be afraid- I AM the First and the Last
(Revelation 1:17).
...And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write- these things says the First and the
Last, who was dead, and came to life...
(Revelation 2:8).
Thus says the Lord- Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool
(Isaiah 66:1).
(Matthew 5:34-35).
However, the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands- as the prophet says-
Heaven is My throne, and earth is My footstool. What house will you build for Me? says the Lord,
or what is the place of My rest?
(Acts 7:48-49).
These scriptures are found in Isaiah-
Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out one after another,
calling each by its name. And He counts them to see that none are lost or have strayed away.
O Israel, how can you say the Lord does not see your troubles? How can you say God refuses
to hear your case? Have you never heard or understood? Do not you know that the Lord is the
everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth? He never grows faint or weary. No one can
measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to those who are tired and worn
out- He offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give
up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like
eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint
(Isaiah 40:26-31).
Thus says God the Lord, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the
earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, and spirit to those
who walk on it-
I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand- I will keep You and
give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the Gentiles, to open blind eyes, to bring
out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
I AM the Lord, that is My name- and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to
carved images
(Isaiah 42:5-8).
O Lord of Armies, God of Israel, the One who dwells between the cherubim, You are
God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth...
(Isaiah 37:16).
Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb- I AM the
Lord, who makes all things, Who stretches out the heavens all alone, Who spreads abroad the
earth by Myself...
(Isaiah 44:24).
Rain down, you heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness- let the earth
open, let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord,
have created it (Isaiah 45:8)...I have made the earth, and created man on it. My hands stretched
out the heavens, and all their armies I have commanded (Isaiah 45:12)...for thus says the
Lord, Who created the heavens, Who is God, Who formed the earth and made it, Who has
established it, Who did not create it in vain, Who formed it to be inhabited- I AM the Lord,
and there is no other
(Isaiah 45:18).
Indeed My hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand has stretched out the
heavens- when I call to them, they stand up together
(Isaiah 48:13).
(Ephesians 3:8-9).
You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power- for You created
all things, and by Your will they exist and were created
(Revelation 4:11).
The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore
by Him who lives forever and ever, who created Heaven and the things that are in it, the
earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it...
(Revelation 10:5-6).
Jesus Christ, the Messiah, is God and He came in the flesh in His Incarnation
(Christmas)
These scriptures are found in Isaiah-
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign- behold, a virgin shall conceive
and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel...
(Isaiah 7:14).
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given- and the government will be upon His
shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the
throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice
from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of Armies will perform this
(Isaiah 9:6-7).
(Matthew 1:22-23).
And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the
world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.
So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out
of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, that is called Bethlehem, because He
was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was
with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be
delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and
laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Now there were in the same
country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around
them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them- do not be afraid, for behold,
I bring you good tidings of great joy that will be to all people. For there is born to you this
day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to
you- you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there
was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God and saying- Glory to God in
the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!
(Luke 2:1-14).
These scriptures are found in Isaiah-
And there shall come forth a stem out of the root of Jesse, and a flower shall rise up out of
his root. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him- the spirit of wisdom, and of
understanding, the spirit of counsel, of adversity with courage, the spirit of knowledge, and of
godliness. And He shall be filled with the spirit of "the fear of the Lord".
He shall not judge according to the sight of the eyes, nor reprove according to the hearing of
the ears. He will do right in the cause of the poor, and give wise decisions for those in the
land who are in need- and the rod of His mouth will come down on the cruel, and with the breath
of His lips he will put an end to the evil-doer
(Isaiah 11:1-5)...and in that day there shall
be a Root of Jesse, Who shall stand as a banner to the people- for the Gentiles shall seek Him,
and His resting place shall be glorious
(Isaiah 11:10).
(Revelation 22:16).
(Acts 13:22-23).
But one of the elders said to me- do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of
Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals
(Revelation 5:5).
And when he (evil King Herod) had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people
together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. So they said to him- in
Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet- but you, Bethlehem, in the land of
Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah- for out of you shall come a ruler Who will
shepherd My people Israel
(Matthew 2:4-6).
Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was
supposed) the son of Joseph...the son of Enos, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God
(Luke 3:23-38).
