Jesus Christ proved He was the Messiah by doing mighty miracles. The raising of Lazarus from
the dead was one. And His own resurrection from the dead was powerful. There are other books of
the bible that contain Messianic prophecies but in this work I focus mainly on some of the ones
found in the bible book of Isaiah and see which ones have some spiritual connection to
the New Testament.

Jesus Christ:
Search the scriptures in the belief that through them you get eternal life- and it is those Writings that give witness about Me (John 5:39). |
Note- There are seven pages here that I have created that encompass many prophecies of Isaiah.
I use different colors of lettering for emphasis- for example I use the color of purple, the
color of royalty, that stands for the inspired and holy word of God. And I use the color
of red, the color of the blood of Jesus, that stands for the words that Jesus spoke.
According to Smith's Bible Dictionary "he was the son of Amoz. The
Hebrew name signifies Salvation of Jahu (a shortened form of Jehovah). He prophesied concerning
Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah
(Isaiah 1:1) covering probably 758 to 698 B.C. He was married and had two sons. Rabbinical
tradition says that Isaiah, when 90 years old, was sawn asunder in the trunk of a carob tree by
order of King Manasseh, to which it is supposed that reference is made in
(Hebrews 11:37)."
What is the Bible Book of Isaiah?
It is one of the 39 books of the Old Testament. It contains many prophecies about the Jewish
Messiah. It also contains many statements made by God. Because of these things, this bible book
has been the subject of vicious lies throughout the years by its enemies. However, it appears
these lies were proven untrue in 1947 when a Bedouin shepherd in Cave One near Qumran found a
parchment scroll
(not copper) containing all 66 chapters of the manuscript of Isaiah. It is named the
Great Isaiah Scroll (1QIsaa) and is one of the original seven Dead Sea Scrolls.
It is old and was written at approximately 125–100 BC, being the largest, best-preserved, and
only complete biblical scroll from the site. It is roughly one thousand years older than
other previously known Hebrew manuscripts. The scroll is composed of 17 sheets of
parchment sewn together. It contains 54 columns of text, covering all 66 chapters of the
Book of Isaiah except a missing section in chapter 16.
What is the content of the Bible Book of Isaiah?
There is much content in it but in this writing I want to share with you some biblical
prophecies by the prophet, Isaiah- given to him by God- especially those scriptures
that prove that Jesus Christ is the Jewish Messiah (God the anointed One). Many of these
prophecies have been fulfilled in regards to His first coming and some have yet to be
fulfilled in regards to His second future coming. In this writing I attempt to share with you
some New Testament scriptures that appear to be a divinly joined to some of
those Isaiah Old Testament prophecies. In other words, Isaiah, prophesied a lot
about the the Messiah- as the Messiah was yet to come in Isaiah's day. The term, Messiah, refers
to the Divine Anointed One or God in the flesh. The Messiah was to have several major
roles and appear on the scene two different times.
|
(Isaiah 60:23). |
In the fullness of time Jesus Christ came on the scene in His first coming. He testified He was
the Jewish Messiah. Here is just one example- He said-
"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in
spirit and truth- for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. The woman said to
Him, "I know that Messiah is coming" (who is called Christ). "When He comes, He will tell us
all things." Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you AM He"
(John 4:23-26).
|
Then He (Jesus) said to them- These are the words that I spoke to you while I was still
with you, that all things must be fulfilled that were written
in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me
(Luke 24:44). |
I AM He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I AM alive forevermore...
(John 1:18).
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins- for if you do not believe
that I AM He, you will die in your sins
(John 8:24).
(Revelation 1:17-18).
